before the 7 flying aces got lost in the couch, there was a partner group called the "5 sailing dice," comprised of 5 pirate-dressed dice with the numbers 4-6 on each side. similarly to the 7 flying aces, kris would use these to cheat at board games. unlike the 7 flying aces, though, they would not be simply lost, but rather put into a "jail" (taken away) by toriel and asgore. all except for 1, who got lost somewhere in kris' room. heavily insecure about their past, Trikkins does their best to not socialize, afraid that others might still relate him to it.

trikkins doesn't know that they were taken away by toriel/asgore. to him, one day he just woke up, and they were gone. thinking he would be next, he did his best to hide and supress his past.

trikkins likes video games so much because of how he can control the outcome, something he doesn't get with gambling.

some pippins who heard about his past peer pressure him into gambling to see if his rigged odds are real.

trikkins' eyepatch was in fact prescribed to him during an ad break, due to his eye scar. he only took it off to give him technically 3 pips on one face, due to the eyepatch technically being one.

one-sided dislike towards battat, since trikkins knows about how fixated he can get on a specific thing. thinking that if battat got even the slightest hint of info about his past, he would eventually find out about his cheating history, etc. in reality, battat dgaf about him.

trikkins has a cutlass from when he still actively indulged in gambling, which is where he got the eye scar from. (tried spinning it and cut his eye.) in current times, it sits on a mount, and he pretends it's a fake one.
